This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and energetic Health and Wellbeing Manager looking to lead our health club team and drive members achieve their goals. The Site The Danny Frawley Centre is a brand new state of the art purpose built facility in Melbourne’s south east creating a place of belonging for anyone who steps foot in the doors. The centres wholistic approach to health and wellbeing is evident in the high level of engagement and interaction, customer experience, access and inclusion along with the evidence-based services provided in centre.
Patrons are provided with the opportunity to attend a number of programs suitable for all ages including swimming classes, recreational swimming, group fitness classes, hydrotherapy services, an elite recovery centre and a health club.
The Role This role will lead the Health and Wellbeing programs and staff at the state of the art Danny Frawley Centre, consisting of a health club, recovery services, reformer pilates studio, group fitness classes and small group training. The Health & Wellbeing Manager will drive engagement and retention throughout the Danny Frawley Centre while leading by example providing a high level of service for all patrons.
Skills & Attributes: The ideal applicant will possess the following experience / qualifications / skills: - Previous experience and success in a comparable role
- Energetic, innovative and decisive leadership style
- Target planning and monitoring experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of OHS and public safety applications in public buildings
Skills and Experience - Certificate III in Fitness or higher
- Good knowledge of health club protocols and customer expectations
- Experience in managing conflict resolution and delivery of high level customer service
- Experience in leading a team, managing rosters and employee relations as required
- First Aid Certificate (Workplace Level 2)
- CPR Certificate
- Working With Children Check
- Computer literacy, familiarity with software packages and point of sale systems
- Fitness Australia (or equivalent) registration is desirable
- National Criminal Records Check
