We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on leader to guide a small but dynamic Leisure Centre within a premium residential estate. The Role: An exciting fulltime opportunity exists for an energetic and operationally minded Venue Manager to oversee the day-to-day performance and experience at our boutique aquatic and health club facility in Wyndham Vale. This unique venue operates within a private estate, and services approximately 6,000 residents with exclusive access. Delivering aquatic programs, health club services, and a growing swim school, the Venue requires a leader who can balance operational excellence with community connection. You’ll provide visible, hands-on leadership, including stepping in to support frontline shifts where needed while delivering strong service, team engagement, and financial outcomes. Key Accountabilities: - Provide hands-on, people focused leadership to foster a welcoming, high-performance culture, step into operational shifts when required to maintain continuity of service
- Lead daily operations across aquatics, health club, and customer service functions
- Ensure high safety standards through effective compliance, risk management, and venue supervision
- Support and grow learn-to-swim programs, including instructor coordination and delivery
- Manage financial performance in line with the venue’s budget
- Build a strong relationship with our contract partner Lotus Living to achieve shared goals
- Recruit, coach, and empower a customer-centric team
About You: You’re an emerging leader or established supervisor with experience in aquatics, health clubs, or community focused service environments. You’re adaptable, approachable, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves. You thrive in environments where you can directly shape culture and outcomes. You understand how great customer experiences are built — through engaged staff, strong safety standards, and consistent operational execution. You’re eager to grow your leadership skills and take ownership of an, small but important community facility. Desirable Skills and Qualifications: - Experience leading teams in aquatics, fitness, leisure, or a similar service industry
- Experience delivering or supporting learn-to-swim programs
- Operational experience with safety and compliance frameworks
- Ability to obtain: Pool Lifeguard qualification, First Aid & CPR, Working With Children Check, Police Check
