About the RoleAs Venue Manager, you’ll be fully accountable for the centre’s operations, financial performance, and program delivery. You’ll lead from the front—coaching your team, ensuring safe and inclusive practices, and fostering a culture focused on community, customer experience, and innovation. Key Responsibilities Lead and inspire staff to deliver exceptional programs and services Ensure safety and compliance with health, safety, and contract standards Drive financial, operational, and participation targets Recruit, train, and develop team members to build capability and career pathways Maintain strong relationships with Council and key stakeholders Create and promote a customer service culture that enhances community engagement
About YouMinimum 2 years’ experience managing a leisure or aquatic facility Strong leadership, coaching, and people development skills Proven track record in operational, financial, and people management Excellent communication with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation Current (or willingness to obtain): Police Check, Working with Children Check, CPR, First Aid (Level 2)
Desirable 3+ years’ experience in aquatic operations Knowledge of local government processes Pool Lifeguard and Pool Operations Certificates
