The Site

Belgravia Leisure is the proud council partner of Western Downs Council. As of 18th of May 2025, we became the management team for this wonderful venue. Our multi-activity facility serves the Chinchilla community and surrounds, offering programs and facilities to cater to the inclusion of people of all ages and abilities.

With both a 25m indoor pool and a 50m outdoor pool, members of the Chinchilla community can enjoy swimming all year round. Plus, build strength and endurance in our health club open 24/7. Chinchilla Aquatic and Fitness Centre provides opportunities for the whole family to get active.

The Role

We are seeking applications for an Aquatics Operations Coordinator to work at Chinchilla Aquatic and Fitness Centre. The Operation Coordinator primary responsibility is to co-ordinate day to day operations of the facility with the highest regard to safety and high-quality service delivery. You will be responsible for leading, coaching and engaging a team of Duty Managers and Lifeguards, hazard prevention and ensuring operational compliance with policies and procedures and statutory requirements.

Essential Skills & Attributes:

• Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Sound knowledge of work health and safety legislative guidelines, evacuation and emergency procedures.
• Ability to liaise with external contractors and council partners
• Ensure the team are fully qualified and adhering to the company's qualification policies and procedures.
• Advanced computer skills
• Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
• Blue Card (National Police Check & Working with Children Check)
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
