  • Are you an outstanding people leader, ready to coach, inspire and lead a cross-functional team at a new and purpose-built City of Sydney facility?
  • Do you have a successful track record in managing leisure facilities, marketing, sales, projects and management?
  • Are you ready to move into a Centre Manager position, or been considering a change of site?

Gunyama Park opened late 2020 and is Australia’s largest single investment in aquatic infrastructure since the Sydney Olympic Games. The facility includes indoor and outdoor pools, a health and fitness centre and more!

 

This is a lifetime opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering the highest level of customer service to take on the role of Centre Manager, and particularly from those wanting to be fully accountable for Gunyama’s operational, financial and program deliverables, and instrumental in building its relationship  with the community, the City of Sydney and all other stakeholders.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of Centre visitors and employees
  • Planning and oversight of polices, processes and procedures
  • Implementing a high value customer service proposition that addresses client needs
  • Achieving budgeted net profit targets
  • Coaching and develop functional teams to deliver on KPIs
  • Driving a high-performing and community-minded culture
  • Recruiting, training and developing team members to ensure adequate levels of capability
  • Maintaining relationships with high value Contract partners
  • Maintaining centre facilities to approved standards in line with Contract requirements.

Skills and Experience

  • Highly developed performance coaching abilities
  • Extensive experience in the planning and execution of operational, financial and people plans
  • Demonstrative experience leading a dynamic and complex business operation (and preferably in leisure or hospitality)
  • Highly developed communication skills with the ability to positively influence and negotiate with others
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field and/or 2 to 3 years in a leadership role (desirable)

This is a full time opportunity; the successful applicant will be available to work across a span of hours across the week, including weekend work.
