Do you have outstanding knowledge in health and fitness and have a passion for engaging members? Somerville Recreation Centre has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic Gym Instructor. The Role We are looking for a dynamic fitness professional committed to delivering high levels of customer service and support to our members who can deliver personal training to members on an as needs basis. Skills & Attributes - Must have a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology and human movement, and have ability to correct technique.
- Experience required in coaching groups through high-energy functional training sessions.
- Strong understanding of information technology and smart phone applications required.
- Knowledge of current health & fitness procedures and practices.
- Personal Training with a variety of different clientele.
- A demonstrated commitment to customer service and well developed communication skills.
- Results driven with friendly can-do attitude.
- Ability to work independently.
Essential - Minimum Cert IV in Personal Training
- Minimum of 12 months industry experience required
- Current Senior First Aid Certificate
- Current CPR Certificate
- Valid Working With Children Check
- Agree to undergo police check as part of the employment process
- Availability to work evenings and weekends is essential
Desirable - Current Ausactive or Physical Activity Australia registrration
- Certification in Yoga and/or Pilates
- Exercise and Sport Science
