Aquatics Operations Coordinator

This is a great opportunity for qualified, friendly and skilled Operations Coordinator to join the team and lead our aquatics team!

The Role

 

We are seeking applications for an Aquatics Operations Coordinator to work across 3 of the Wakefield Regional Council portfolio of pools which include: 

  • Balaklava Swimming Pool
  • Owen Swimming Pool
  • Hamley Bridge Swimming Pool

These are seasonal pools - open from November to the end of March next year. 

 

The Aquatic Operations Coordinator's primary responsibility is to co-ordinate day to day operations of the facility with the highest regard to safety and high-quality service delivery. You will be responsible for leading, coaching and engaging a team of Duty Managers and Lifeguards, hazard prevention and ensuring operational compliance with policies and procedures and statutory requirements. 

 

Essential Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of work health and safety legislative guidelines, evacuation and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure the team are fully qualified and adhering to the company's qualification policies and procedures.

 Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Pool Operator Certificate
  • Pool Lifeguard Certificate
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
  • Legal working rights in Australia

Previous industry experience is highly regarded!
