The Venue

 

Moreton Bay Region is again sprinting ahead of the field to be Olympics ready, completing the brand new $15.8 million Indoor Centre. The stadium can host 2,000 fans in show court mode and it even doubles as a venue to host community events and conferences, with five brand-new multipurpose rooms and suites.

 

South Pine Indoor Sports Complex is the hub for many sporting clubs in the area. The stadium offers the opportunity to all local sporting clubs to take advantage of this amazing, well-equipped space. The stadium caters for basketball, netball, volleyball, badminton, futsal and many more sports and community programs.

 

The Role

 

Reporting directly to the Stadium Venue Manager, the Program Assistant’s primary responsibility is to assist in the day-to-day operations of the facility. You will be a customer service champion and have an eye for detail.  Your tasks will involve assisting our guests with their inquiries, cleaning and setting up for sports and event, working in the café and facilitating any internal program and services.

 

Your cover letter should state your availability for the role as we are open 7 days a week. Evenings and weekends being our peak foot traffic. You will commence as a casual employee but a permanent role could to created for the right individual that displays exceptional customer service skills.

 

Skills & Attributes:

  • Delivering exceptional Customer Service to our customers and user groups
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be flexible and willing to learn.
  • Be hardworking, punctual and reliable.
  • Perform day to day tasks to ensure the venue operates safely and effectively.
  • Be responsible for venue opening and closing tasks including venue presentation
  • Assisting with cleaning duties when required

ESSENTIAL:

  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Police Check
  • Current Working with Children Check or equivalent  
  • Strong customer service background
  • Barista trained and food handling experience
  • Must have evening and weekend work availability

DESIRABLE:

  • Competent ability with Microsoft Office and prior experience/knowledge of sales processes
  • Basketball and/or Futsal experience/referee qualifications will be highly regarded 
  • Barista trained and food handling experience
