About Sports Parc A large indoor sports facility focusing primarily on soccer, netball and basketball. The Sports Parc facility - Formally known as Howzat - has been a big part of the Newcastle community for many years. The Role An exciting opportunity for an experienced indoor sports manager Key Accountabilities - Achieve budgeted sports competition registrations
- Achieve budgeted court usage outside of competitions
- Achieve budgeted school group bookings
- Look for an implement innovative ways to draw income in off peak times
- Maintain and develop relationships with community partners including but not limited to competition and court sponsors
- Maintain facility standards - Including safety and cleanliness
- Ongoing staff recruitment and workforce planning
- Staff training and development
- Management of customer feedback and satisfaction
- Develop and implement local area marketing plans
Essential Skills and Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
- Strong communication and people skills
- An ambitious and positive attitude
- Ability to work closely with other business leaders within the same facility
- National Police Check
- Working with Children Check
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
Desirable: - Tertiary education relevant to the role
- Great understanding of and connections in the local area
