Loftus Recreation Centre is a multi-facet leisure facility achieving an average of 700,000 visitations each year. Within the venue contains:

  • 5 Court Multi Use Stadium
  • Large 24/7 Health Club

  • Group Fitness Studio
  • Coaching Zone
  • Spin Studio

  • Upgraded change rooms including a fully Accessible Adult Change Facility

The Role

 

A rare opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering the highest level of customer service to lead and assist manage Loftus Recreation Centre located in Leederville.

 

This is an exciting time for Belgravia Leisure as we look to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced

 

The role focuses on helping to deliver guest-focused outcomes first and foremost and will support the health club. In the absence of the area manager, you will be responsible for leading the team and managing the facility. This requires the position holder to lead by example and hold a range of skills and capabilities.

 

Prior experience in industry sectors such as Health, Fitness, Aquatics, Hospitality, Tourism, Retail or Business is looked on favourably. You will be a proven team leader or people management and have an overall ability to lead, motivating a team and developing others.

 

Our leaders demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, resilience, and ability to accept feedback. 

 

The Venue Manager’s key accountabilities include:

  • Day to day management of health and fitness team
  • Day to day management of the Guest Experience team
  • Ensuring that the team of site staff are operating effectively to deliver a safe, patron friendly site always open for use.
  • Management of guest experience, customer service, sales, retention and health and fitness.
  • Ensure that patron feedback is acted on and, over time, reduce any negative perception communicated by patrons regarding site operations.
  • Ensure that presentation of the site is faultless and ensure that the site is maintained to high safety standards.  Aim for a model site with zero injuries
  • Adhering to the WH&S processes and management systems provided by Belgravia and legislative regulatory standards
  • To assist and support the Venue Manager in the growth of the membership base at the centre by generating leads whilst ensuring to provide professional service to both existing and prospective members

Essential

  • Management experience
  • Experience in leading Customer service and Health and Fitness teams
  • Financial management experience, particularly around sales and growth of memberships
  • HR/people management experience
  • Working with Children (or equivalent)
  • National Police Check
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Legal working rights in Australia.

Desirable:

  • Operational experience in Stadium facilities
  • Great understanding of local government and processes
