This is a great opportunity for qualified, friendly and skilled Operations Coordinator to join the team and lead our aquatics team! The Site Belgravia Leisure is now seeking to hire a motivated and strong team member for this facility on behalf of the Mackay Regional Council. The Mackay Aquatic Recreation Complex (MARC) is the flag ship Aquatic & Leisure facility for the Mackay Region. Featuring an outdoor 50 metre pool to FINA competition standards, outdoor covered 25 metre pool, enclosed warm water programs pool and adjacent to the Aquatic facility is a competition standard athletics track. The Role We are seeking applications for an Operations Coordinator to work at MARC. The Operation Coordinator primary responsibility is to co-ordinate day to day operations of the facility with the highest regard to safety and high-quality service delivery. You will be responsible for leading, coaching and engaging a team of Duty Managers and Lifeguards, hazard prevention and ensuring operational compliance with policies and procedures and statutory requirements. Essential Skills & Attributes: - Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Sound knowledge of work health and safety legislative guidelines, evacuation and emergency procedures.
- Ability to liaise with external contractors and council partners
- Ensure the team are fully qualified and adhering to the company's qualification policies and procedures.
- Advanced computer skills
- Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
- Blue Card (National Police Check & Working with Children Check)
- Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
