Area Manager – ACT

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Manager to lead operations across multiple leisure venues in the ACT, including Canberra Olympic Pool, Stromlo Leisure Centre, Lakeside Leisure Centre, and Erindale Leisure Centre. This is a leadership role focused on driving business performance, enhancing customer experience, and supporting venue managers to achieve operational excellence.

About the Role

As the ACT Area Manager, you will provide strategic leadership, coaching, and operational support to venue managers. You will be responsible for ensuring consistent service delivery, maximising profitability, and fostering a culture of excellence across all sites. You’ll be the key link between our venues and the Business Operations Manager, ensuring alignment with company goals and values.

Key Objectives

  • Lead and support venue managers to achieve KPIs and business growth.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and service standards across all venues.
  • Ensure operational consistency and quality across the region.
  • Maximise sales and profitability through strategic planning and execution.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Uphold and champion company policies, procedures, and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing training and development for staff.
  • Communicate regularly with clients and stakeholders.
  • Identify and address performance gaps.
  • Make informed decisions aligned with business standards.
  • Promote the organisation positively within the community.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS and environmental policies.
  • Lead and support access and inclusion initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Working with Children Check (or equivalent)
  • National Police Check
