This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated and energetic Health Club Coordinator looking to lead our health club team and drive members achieve their goals.

  

The Role

A full-time position is currently vacant for a suitable candidate to join as our centre's Health Club Co-ordinator. The key role for this position is to develop a range of high quality, appropriate and desirable health and fitness programs for the members and the local community. This is a Fixed term contract until October 28th 2024 with the possibility of ongoing employment.

 

About You

The Health Club Coordinator will be suitably qualified, have extensive experience within the Health and fitness industry and be efficient in handling the operations of a health club facility. The successful applicant will have shown an ability to lead a team of gym floor staff and personal trainers as well as knowledge of group exercise programming. Strong connections with Council and local community are also a vital part of the role.

 

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a capacity to deliver the following essential skills:

  • Develop, implement and deliver marketing strategies for business growth
  • Develop, monitor and achieve financial targets and KPI’s
  • Drive program development and innovation
  • Support a safe workplace and facility culture
  • Ensure the highest level of customer service and engagement
  • Ensure the safe and efficient co-ordination of all health and fitness programs within legislative guidelines.
  • Increase Health Club visits by providing engaging activities such as member rotation strategy each month
  • Ensure health consultations are booked and the staff is inducted so that time is being utilised effectively
  • Monitor group fitness participation and provide timetable that is suitable for customer needs

The ideal applicant will possess the following experience / qualifications / skills:

  • Previous experience and success in a comparable role
  • Qualifications and experience suitable for a position at this level
  • Energetic, innovative and decisive leadership style
  • Target planning and monitoring experience
  • Solid marketing skills and initiatives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong commitment to staff team, member and community engagement
  • Understanding of OHS and public safety applications in public buildings

Qualifications:

  • Certificate IV in Fitness
  • Experience in a Health Club environment
  • Current First Aid (Level 2)
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current Police Check

This is a full-time opportunity; the successful applicant will be available to work across a span of hours across the week, including some weekend work.
