The Role

Carnaby’s is on the lookout for kitchen staff who possess a passion for culinary arts and a creative flair for food. Candidates who can contribute to innovative ideas for our menu are encouraged to express their interest.Successful candidates will have effective communication, cooperation, and the ability to handle high-pressure situations are vital qualities we seek in individuals who can contribute to the success of our new hospitality venture at the local community park.

The candidates will prioritise the quality and safety in our kitchen operations, and understanding of and commitment to maintaining high food safety standards, as well as consistent adherence to quality control measures. Attention to detail and precision in food preparation are essential attributes we seek in potential kitchen team members.

The ability to efficiently manage time and resources while maintaining a high standard of food preparation is crucial for success in our venue.

We are looking for:

• Kitchen hands
• Cooks
• Chefs

Skills & Attributes:

• Prior experience within a kitchen in the hospitality sector.
• Adaptability to varying work schedules, including evenings and weekends.
• Understanding of proper etiquette and standards in the hospitality sector.
• Ability to connect with diverse patrons and contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.
• Current Senior First Aid Certificate (desired)
• Responsible Service of Alcohol
• Food Handling Certificate
• Certificate in Commercial Cookery
• Agree to undergo a National Police Check as part of the employment process
