This is a great opportunity for passionate and energetic Exercise Physiologists to join our award-winning facility located in Sydney’s Inner West. This opportunity is ideal for those starting out in the industry or those wishing to be part of building the success of a new Exercise Physiology program.

The Role

 

Annette Kellerman Leisure Centre has annual patronage of 500,000 and a membership of 2,000+. We are currently seeking a part-time Exercise Physiologist and Personal Trainer to help cater to these individuals as well as our general membership base. Delivering assessments and customised exercise interventions that will assist in the management of their injury or condition. Offering support funded through various compensable schemes including WorkCover, TAC and DVA, as well as the NDIS and Medicare.

 

This is a hands-on role that provides a mix of Exercise Physiology along with personal training.

 

We are in an exciting position to offer an Exercise Physiologist the opportunity to become an integral part of a newly established Exercise Physiology program. The ideal candidate will be passionate and friendly and relish in the opportunity to expand the Exercise Physiology portfolio of the centre.

 

Skills and Attributes

  • Knowledge of current health & fitness procedures and practices.
  • Personal Training with a variety of different clientele.
  • A demonstrated commitment to customer service and well-developed communication skills.
  • Driven to succeed with a friendly can-do attitude
  • Provision of exercise intervention and education for those at risk of developing a chronic condition or injury.
  • Provision of clinical exercise prescription, for those with existing chronic and complex medical conditions and injuries.
  • Provision of health education, advice and support to enhance health and well­being.
  • Development and promotion of Exercise Physiology within the Centre and wider community.
  • Liaise with other medical professionals involved in patient's rehabilitation. 

Essentials:

  • First Aid Level 2
  • Current CPR
  • Working with Children's Check
  • Police check clearance upon onboarding
  • Minimum Cert IV in Personal Training
  • Current fitness registration with Fitness Australia
  • Driven to success with a friendly can-do attitude
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends is essential
