The role:


As the Regional Fitness Manager, you will be leading and overseeing your team of Personal Trainers and Head Coaches across a number of sites. Your enthusiasm, industry experience and knowledge will assist in developing your team members to the professional high standards Genesis is known for in the fitness industry. Reporting directly to our National Fitness Programs Manager, you will be required to deliver local and regional fitness training to support the ongoing management of Coaching Zone and personal training programs.


Key Accountabilities


  • Support Fitness Managers/Head Coaches in achieving financial targets for their fitness divisions
  • Deliver site level rollout training and support of ‘Coaching Zone’
  • Compile and produce fitness department reporting and use analysis skills to identify training opportunities and recommendations
  • To deliver local and regional training to support fitness campaigns on the national marketing calendar for all fitness departments (Coaching Zone, Personal Training, Group Exercise)
  • Liaise with industry partners to ensure sites both locally and regionally are supported to meet their objectives with each partnership
  • Support local teams to ensure gym floor maintenance and equipment cleaning are held to the highest standards
  • Work with National Fitness Leadership Team to develop ongoing training and marketing support materials




  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Certificate IV in Fitness
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience with fitness industry management roles
  • Demonstrated track record for achieving agreed KPI outcomes
  • Able to adapt various leadership styles in a variety of circumstances
  • Able to deliver effect training and support to achieve desired outcomes for fitness teams
  • Ability to interpret reports and deliver recommendations through the management line
  • In-touch with current trends of the fitness industry
  • Sound Computer/Technology Skills




  • Fitness Club Management Experience
  • Tertiary Education in Exercise Science/Human Movement
  • Strength and Conditioning Certification

The position requires applicants to be available for full time hours and be flexible with working days. Some interstate travel may be required.

  • Have a passion for fitness
  • Have strong customer service skills
  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Industry knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Hold current First Aid & CPR Certification
  • Working with Children Check (or equivalent) & National Police Check
  • Minimum 5 experience in fitness, sales, customer service or a retail environment is highly advantageous
