The Role:

 

We are seeking to hire an Assistant Swim Squad Coach with Competitive Strokes or preferably Bronze Accreditation. You will deliver quality swimming lessons and monitor student development. This casual role will require you to work early mornings, evenings and weekend work. 

 

Duties and responsibilities will include: 

  • Promotion and growth of club and swim team program
  • Assisting in planning and supervising workouts of the swim team
  • Communicating as necessary with parents, students and other coaches regarding assignments, swimmer progress and events
  • Attending of swim meets as scheduled - Conducting try out for new swimmers and parent orientation 

About You:

 

The successful candidate should have a competitive nature and be willing to commit to the role.The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a capacity to meet the following essential criteria:

 

  • You must have an outgoing personality
  • Be customer service focused
  • A team player
  • Keen to be involved with the swimming club and learn to swim team
  • Community orientated
  • Great with children and know how to manage behaviours
  • Excellent communication skills with both parents and children
  • Capable of providing constructive feedback and provide stroke correction
  • Available to attend club meets
  • Helps to maintain equipment
  • Supports with administration duties
  • Teacher of Competitive Swimming / Competitive Strokes or Bronze level Qualification as a minimum
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Blue Card: Valid Working with Children Check & National Police Check
  • Previous experience and success in a comparable role
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
