This is a great opportunity for passionate and energetic Exercise Physiologists to work across a number of our facilities within the Liverpool region of NSW.

Our core areas of business and facilities stewardship include health clubs, wellness and spa, golf, aquatic and sporting venues in 150 locations across Australia and New Zealand. 

 

The Role

 

Our centre has a high level of patronage, we are currently seeking a part-time Exercise Physiologist to help cater to these individuals as well as our general membership base. These people are seeking support funded through various compensation schemes including WorkCover, TAC and DVA, as well as the NDIS.

 

The successful applicant will assess and deliver customised exercise interventions to our members that will assist in the management of their injury or condition. If the clinical assessment requires further investigation and/or high-level care, the exercise physiologist will work with medical specialists, GP's and allied health to deliver exercise physiology services within the club.

 

The successful applicant will be required to work across a number of Liverpool site including: Michael Clarke Recreation Centre, Michael Wenden Aquatic Centre and Whitlam Leisure Centre.

 

Skills and Attributes

  • Design patient care plan in the initial consultation
  • Write, store and distribute reports on a weekly basis directly to Belgravia Leisure, relevant government bodies and health insurance companies for records management
  • Develop safe, effective and individualised exercise interventions after checking the patient’s medical history
  • Provide clinical exercise prescription, for those with existing chronic and complex medical conditions and injuries
  • Provide relevant advice for patients following the acute stage of injury, surgical intervention, or during recovery to improve patient outcomes

ESSENTIAL:

  • Masters in Exercise Physiology
  • Must be accredited by ESSA
  • Current Level 2 First Aid
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Police Check

DESIRABLE:

  • Sound understanding of patient care
  • Passionate about wanting to help other people
