The Site


The Parc Recreational Leisure Centre is located in Newcastle, NSW.


The centre offers a range of activities and stadium sports for children and adults of all abilities, including Indoor Sports Competitions, Clinics, Birthday parties. It is located inside our multi-use facility that also houses Genesis Fitness Club, The Ninja Parc, The Climb Parc and the Parc Cafe.


The Role


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Sports Competition Centre Manager to lead the team to deliver an exceptional sports, leisure and hospitality experience at The Sports Parc.


Key Accountabilities

  • Achievement of budgeted performance targets.
  • Maintain a high value relationship with our partners and sporting user groups.
  • Implement a high value customer service proposition with a particular focus on a quality Sports Competition, Party and casual court usage offerings.
  • Recruitment of energetic, diverse and passionate employees as required to compliment the team and the vision for the Centre.
  • Train staff as required to ensure that knowledge and capability are at the required levels to enable staff to carry out their work and achieve their objectives.
  • To execute an appropriate number of direct contact hours as agreed to with your manager
  • Maintain facilities to approved standards in line with contract requirements.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of visitors and employees through effective planning and oversight of polices, processes and procedures.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum 2 years' experience in managing a similar leisure, sport or hospitality facility
  • Highly developed communication skills with a flair for positive influencing and negotiating win-win outcomes.
  • Experience in project and event management
  • Experience in planning and execution of operational, financial and people plans to successful outcomes.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)


  • Tertiary educated within Business/Management
  • Great understanding of local area events and local schools and businesses.
