The Site


Point Walter Golf Course is nestled alongside Perth's Swan River in Bicton WA with sweeping views and spectacular scenery.


The facility is home to a boutique 9-hole public golf course, which is highly regarded for its quality fairways, greens and picturesque landscape. Alongside Perth’s newest 18-hole mini golf development (opening early July).  This multi million-dollar development will rival the most challenging and high-end mini golf courses in Australia.


Within the venue is a driving range, retail golf-shop and tennis courts, supported by a brand new bar with gastro food & modern café.


The Role


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced Chef de partie to deliver an exceptional modern food menu to the public, players, families and function attendees at the Point Walter Golf Course complex. This is a full time role with an expected roster of Wednesday to Sunday. 


Key Accountabilities

  • Maintains a clean and sanitised operation
  • Coordinates the ordering, holding, preparation and storage of food stock in dry, fresh, refrigerated and frozen spaces.
  • Prepares food to standard recipe and portion controls that meet the company standards.
  • Ensures minimum wastage of all product and utilities is minimised at all times.
  • Coordinates the use and maintenance of all equipment to regulatory standards
  • Ensures all stock levels are appropriately maintained to meet the level of forecast operations
  • Creates speciality dishes from time to time, by utilising slow moving stocks or excess items.
  • Assists the event coordinator with group, larger bookings, communicates with 3rd  party contractor caterers to use facilities, if and when the operations are unable to deliver such an event.
  • Attend internal meetings and client site visits where necessary
  • Adheres to all WHS standards

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum 3 years’ experience working in a similar hospitality facility
  • Completed traineeship as qualified cook
  • Highly developed communication skills both up and down the line
  • Experience in large group catering up to 200 pax
  • Sound knowledge of kitchen health and safety legislation
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
