Guest Experience Manager, The Sands Torquay

The Sands Torquay is proudly managed by Belgravia Leisure. Perched on the northern headland of Torquay nestled against the dunes and at the start of the world famous Great Ocean Road, The Sands Torquay Golf Resort is a sleek and modern premium golf resort destination. 

 

The Sands Torquay Golf Resort offers an extensive range of facilities including golf. Other leisure activities available include a game of tennis, refreshing swim in the heated indoor lap pool or a work out in the gymnasium.

 

 

The Role

 

This is an exciting time for The Sands Torquay, as we look to appoint a vibrant and experienced Guest Experience Manager to build and lead a passionate and engaged hotel reception / front of house team as we relaunch an extensive revamped hotel in December 2021.

 

As the Guest Experience Manager you will be a strong people leader who will be responsible for the overall guest experience and hotel reception. You will deliver and drive exceptional customer service and a culture of guest excellence. 

 

Availability to work weekend, public holiday and weekend work will be essential. 

 

This is a senior management position with broad responsibility. Your duties will include:

  • Delight our guests at every opportunity 
  • Assist in the recruitment and interviewing of staff to ensure they have the appropriate skills or have potential through training, and have a natural inclination towards customer-focused service
  • Leading and coach your new team to deliver the highest standards of guest experience
  • Managing daily tasks and assigning work to be completed by the team
  • Responsibility for handling, analysing and resolving any guest complaints promptly
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through regular and daily communication and coordination with other departments

You are passionate about guest experience and strive to make every part of our guests stay enjoyable. You are organised and a strong communication with a track record of leading a guest focused team.

 

A team player, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders will be second nature.
