The Role 

 

The General Manager, Programs is responsible for the strategic development, continuous improvement and growth of oucurrent venue-based programs and products in AU/NZ with a particular focus on driving the membership-based products including our aquatics, golf and health and wellbeing programs and expand our product offerings into new and exciting areas.

 

Accountabilities

  • Develop a well-considered strategy that is innovative, industry best practice and focus on growing participation and to improve/expand our membership-based products and services.
  • Identifying and responding to the changing needs of communities post COVID
  • Seek new opportunities.
  • Oversee the development of resources required to facilities execution of the strategic plan to enable operators to bring the vision to life and achieve budgeted results.
  • Standardise operating process, procedures and branding across all venues.
  • Develop training frameworks that deliver sustainable capability to ensure programs deliver on agreed objectives and exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide expertise to cross functional stakeholder through participation in multi-disciplinary leadership circles.
  • Grow a network of industry partnerships to achieve growth of products and services
  • Report to plan
  • Identify opportunities to create and develop digital programs/markets

 

About you

 

ESSENTIAL:

  • Strong analytical capability and future focused
  • Engaging people leader willing to invest and being the best out of your people
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to convert strategy to action
  • Revenant industry experience overseeing a large-scale membership program(s)
  • Experience brokering mutually beneficial partnership with strategic allies
  • Previous experience leading a national portfolio
  • Significant experience in program leadership/develop of either an aquatic or health and wellbeing program
  • Ability to obtain a national police check and working with children check

DESIRABLE:

  • Previous experience working for a multi-venue sport, leisure or recreation organisation
