Welcome to Wai Ariki – a world class unique cultural and spa treatment experience that is proudly Ngati Whakaue Maori.  This brand-new facility is a jewel in Rotorua’s crown, bringing together the historic healing qualities of the geothermal waters with our unique Ngati Whakaue Maori culture to bring a truly outstanding experience to visitors, within a spectacular setting.  

 

About the Role

 

This is a unique opportunity, guided by a strong Ngāti Whakaue Māori cultural story to establish a world class Spa and Wellness facility. Kaupapa Ngāti Whakaue Māori principles, (manaakitanga, whanaungatanga and aroha) underpin the Spa’s unique ‘point of difference’ and authenticity.

 

We are seeking a committed Food and Beverage Attendant to join our team within the spa's Te Rou Rou cafe. You will be required to deliver the day-to-day food and beverage services of the café while exceeding guest expectations with an exceptional food and beverage offering. 

 

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver all food and beverage services and support day to day operations in the café within the guidelines provided
  • Deliver a high standard of food quality and presentation
  • Keep café area clean and presentable to a 5 star standard
  • Adhere to all relevant food health and safety guidelines
  • Provide the highest level of guest experience
  • Help ensure waste is minimised
  • Ensure all sales and cash handling procedures are followed
  • Ensure compliance to sale of liquor regulations

Essential

  • Ability to work weekends
  • Ability to work from 7am
  • Barista experience
  • Experienced food handling skills
  • NZ Police check
  • Pre employment drug test

Desirable

  • First Aid Certificate
  • Duty Managers licence highly regarded
  • Ability to understand and speak Te Reo Maori
