About the Role

This is a unique opportunity, guided by a strong Ngati Whakaue Maori cultural story to establish a world class Spa and Wellness facility.  Kaupapa Ngati Whakaue Maori principles, (manaakitanga, whanaungatanga and aroha) underpin the Spa’s unique ‘point of difference’ and authenticity.

The Spa Therapist will deliver unrivalled customer care and skilled expertise in all guest encounters from treatment delivery and retail recommendations.  Aside from being responsible for the consistent delivery of exceptional spa services, the Spa Therapist is also responsible for the general upkeep of the spa facility including cleanliness, order and demonstrates a commitment to standard operational practices.

Key Accountabilities

• Deliver all spa services and support the day-to-day operations in the Sanctuary Spa within the guidelines provided
• Deliver a high standard of service delivery and presentation
• Ensure working spaces are clean and presentable to a 5-star standard
• Adhere to all relevant spa health and safety guidelines
• Provide the highest level of guest experience
• Help ensure product waste is minimised

Essential

One of the following (or equivalent)

• New Zealand Certificate in Spa Therapy (Level 5)
• New Zealand Diploma in Wellness and Relaxation Massage (Level 5)

Desirable

• Ability to understand and speak Te Reo Maori
• Willingness to embrace and learn tikanga and Te Ao Maori
