Belgravia Leisure proudly manages the City of Sydney's iconic aquatic and fitness centres, including; Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre, Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre, Cook + Phillip Park Pool, Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool, Victoria Park Pool, and Prince Alfred Park Pool.

The Role

 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to join our team and lead the marketing efforts across our renowned aquatic and fitness centres.

 

Reporting to the Head of Business Operations, this role is pivotal in developing and implementing marketing initiatives designed to increase market share, drive profitability, and position our aquatic and fitness centres as leading destinations in the City.

 

The Marketing Manager will oversee brand and campaign management across all programs and services, ensuring that initiatives meet the high standards expected of a global city.

 

This role demands creativity, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans that generate brand awareness and drive lead generation
  • Lead a small marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including product leads, designers and agency partners
  • Utilise data and insights to make informed, strategic decisions and optimise campaigns.
  • Oversee the production of marketing materials and digital assets.
  • Manage the strategy, creative production, and execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain high standards across all creative assets, including digital content and advertising materials

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a marketing role within a large, complex organization.
  • Extensive experience in developing innovative and highly creative B2C marketing campaign ideas.
  • Proven ability to manage marketing budgets and achieve high ROI.
  • Understanding of how to build and manage a brand.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, and analytics.
  • Proficiency in using industry tools including, but not limited to, Microsoft Suite, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics and Tag Manager, Canva and/or Adobe Suite etc.
  • Prior experience using website content management system’s (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
  • Strong communication, creativity, and organizational skills.

Key Skills:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related discipline.
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Workplace Level 2), CPR Certificate, Working with Children Check, and National Police Check.
  • Strong leadership skills with a history of strategic marketing achievements.
  • Intermediate design experience and the ability to create visual artwork adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Strong cross-functional stakeholder management and the ability to foster strong partnerships.
  • Ability to manage multiple work streams and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to decipher complex inputs to create a unified direction.
