This is a great opportunity for qualified, friendly and skilled Operations Coordinator to join the team and lead our aquatics team!

 

The Site

Pelican Park Recreation Centre is the premier lifestyle gym and indoor swimming pool on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. We cater to the needs of the entire community, ensuring that both members and casual visitors become happier and healthier.

The centre's facilities offer you a fully equipped lifestyle gym featuring a wide variety of cardio equipment and weights, a functional training area and group exercise classes. With over 50 group fitness classes a week, there is a class for everyone!

The leisure centre also has a 25-metre indoor pool, leisure pool, toddler pool with aqua play features, spa and steam facilities. Staffed by a team of exercise, aquatics and customer service professionals, we are committed to being readily accessible for all of your needs.

We provide the Hastings and surroundings community members with the best health and leisure experiences possible.

 

About the Perks

The Role

We are seeking applications for an Aquatics Operations Coordinator to work at Pelican Park Recreation Centre. The Operations Coordinator's primary responsibility is to co-ordinate day to day operations of the facility with the highest regard to safety and high-quality service delivery. You will be responsible for leading, coaching and engaging a team of Duty Managers and Lifeguards, hazard prevention and ensuring operational compliance with policies and procedures and statutory requirements.

 

Essential Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of work health and safety legislative guidelines, evacuation and emergency procedures.
  • Ability to liaise with external contractors and council partners
  • Ensure the team are fully qualified and adhering to the company's qualification policies and procedures.
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
  • Blue Card (National Police Check & Working with Children Check)
  • Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate

We run lifeguard, First Aid, CPR and swim teacher courses through Belgravia Academy. Our qualified trainers and assessors will ensure you are fully trained and qualified to become a lifeguard/swim teacher
