This is a great opportunity for qualified, friendly and skilled Operations Coordinator to join the team and lead our aquatics team!

 

The Site

 

Mount Barker’s brand-new, state-of-the-art aquatic and fitness facility is opening in August 2025. Summit Aquatic and Leisure will offer inclusive programs for all ages and abilities, supporting the growing Mount Barker and Adelaide Hills communities. This brand-new facility includes;

  • 25m Indoor Pool
  • Learn-to-Swim Pool 
  • Shallow Entry Pool with Water Play 
  • Warm Water Pool 
  • Health Club & Group Exercise Rooms 
  • Child-minding & Community Meeting Rooms 
  • Kiosk/Café

The Role

 

We are seeking applications for an Aquatics Operations Coordinator to work at Summit Aquatic & Leisure. The Aquatic Operations Coordinator's primary responsibility is to co-ordinate day to day operations of the facility with the highest regard to safety and high-quality service delivery. You will be responsible for leading, coaching and engaging a team of Duty Managers and Lifeguards, hazard prevention and ensuring operational compliance with policies and procedures and statutory requirements.

 

Essential Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of work health and safety legislative guidelines, evacuation and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure the team are fully qualified and adhering to the company's qualification policies and procedures.

 Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Pool Operator Certificate
  • Pool Lifeguard Certificate
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children Check
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
  • Legal working rights in Australia

Previous industry experience is highly regarded!

We run lifeguard, First Aid, CPR and swim teacher courses through Belgravia Academy. Our qualified trainers and assessors will ensure you are fully trained and qualified to become a lifeguard/swim teacher
