The Role Are you an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) looking to create meaningful change in the community? We’re offering an exciting opportunity to build and deliver a new Dietetics service as part of the new MOVE Health Clinic at Ascot Vale Leisure Centre. This part-time role will be based at the new tailor-made MOVE Health Clinic suite, working as part of a multi-disciplinary approach alongside Exercise Physiologists and other Allied Health professionals. The clinic has a strong focus on providing integrative and inclusive services to the community. Why This Role is Unique - Whole-system approach to community wellbeing– Deliver services within a large-scale leisure centre with access to gym, aquatics, community classes/groups and social spaces
- Strong Partnerships– Be part of a Health Clinic actively supported by the Moonee Valley Council, wanting to bridge the gap between primary and preventative care
- Diverse Client Base – Work with clients of a variety of ages and conditions, using various funding streams (e.g. Medicare, NDIS, Insurance & Compensation schemes) and community supports
- Flexible Service Delivery – Build a caseload with a mix of individual consults, group education, and health promotion programs (e.g. Life! Diabetes Program)
- Growth Pathway – Opportunity to expand and increase to full time hours and shape the future of dietetic services in this new space
Key Accountabilities: - Conduct in-depth personalised nutritional assessments
- Implement client-centred, evidence-based nutritional interventions
- Deliver individual dietary counselling and group education sessions
- Collaborate with other allied health professionals for integrative and holistic care
- Provide nutritional program support for chronic disease, recovery, disability, and injury
- Engage with the community and promote the Dietetics service internally and externally
About You - Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) – Dietitians Australia
- Master’s degree in Dietetics
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for preventative health
- Experience in community health, disability, or chronic disease management is desirable
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
