This is a great opportunity for qualified, friendly and skilled Aquatic Operations Manager.

 

 

The Role

 

This year-round full time role reporting to the Business Operations Manager (BOM) and working closely with all Victorian BOMs and Area Managers, you will primarily be responsible for managing the commissioning and decommissioning of our Regional Seasonal Venues across Victoria (over 40 venues). The venues currently cover the following Local Government Areas (LGAs): Alpine, Indigo, Bendigo, Glenelg, Loddon, Mansfield, Murray River, Pyrenees, Strathbogie, Swan Hill, Wentworth and Yarra Ranges.

 

The hands-on role involves the application of education, mentoring and coaching strategies to empower venue teams to more effectively manage aquatic venues.  

 

Based out of Belgravia operated venues and linking in closely with regional and area management teams, the role is pivotal in maintaining a macro-overview of pre-season operational requirements, ensuring that aspects including recruitment, risk management, facility presentation, training and induction are all on track, prompting hands on support as required.

 

This role will require travel throughout regional Victoria, to the LGA’s stated above. During the off-peak season (April – August) this position will be based out of one of our year-round venues.

 

Skills & Attributes:

  • Support and guide the commissioning and decommissioning of the Regional Seasonal venues
  • Chair the Regional Seasonal Venues Support meetings throughout the year
  • Support newly appointed Regional Area and Venue Managers
  • Travel to all Regional Seasonal venues to offer support and education to local staff (aiming for 2-3 visits per contract per season).
  • Identify gaps in effective aquatic safety management and articulate improvements opportunities to enhance risk mitigation
  • Ensure all venues operate to a high standard in relation to safety, staffing and presentation
  • Offer remote support to local staff in relation to Pool Plant Operations
  • Ability to communicate compliance with Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations across multiple venues
  • Team player
  • Learn about and adhere to all company policies
  • Follow the law and all reasonable company instructions and directives
  • Perform other duties as required by the company
  • Represent Belgravia Leisure in regional conferences/committees/ etc

ESSENTIAL:

  • Pool Plant Operations qualification
  • Current Lifeguard Qualification
  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Working with Children Check (or Equivalent)
  • National Police Check
