This is a great opportunity for qualified, friendly and skilled Operations Coordinator to join the team and lead our aquatics team! 

The Site 

Sugarworld Waterpark is spread across 7 acres of lush historical parkland shared with beautiful peacocks. Sugarworld Water park has a number of rides and attractions including water slides, pools an interactive aquatic play area and a newly built 9 hole mini golf course. The park is open every weekend, public holidays and Queensland school holidays from 10 am to 5 pm during the months of September to April each year. 

The Role 

We are seeking applications for an Operations Coordinator to work at Sugarworld on a Part time (30 hour) basis. The Operations Coordinator's primary responsibility is to coordinate day to day operations of the facility with the highest regard to safety and to deliver a high-quality service. You will be responsible for hazard prevention and ensuring operational compliance with policies and procedures and statutory requirements. An experienced working knowledge of commercial pool filters, pumps and automated dosing systems is desirable but not essential. We are prepared to train and assist the right person with obtaining necessary certificates.

You must be available to work weekends and school holidays. Experience with commercial or domestic pumps will be an advantage to you. 

 
Desirable Skills & Attributes: 

• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate 
• Current Pool Operations Certificate 
• Mechanically minded – hands on 
• Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others 
• Excellent verbal communication skills 
• Sound knowledge of work health and safety legislative guidelines, evacuation and emergency procedures. 
• Demonstrated experience of plant room management and Pool operations 
• Flexible with availability 
• Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate 
• Blue Card (National Police Check & Working with Children Check)
