The Role We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to join our team in either Bayswater or South Melbourne, VIC. This full-time role reports directly to the CEO and is responsible for ensuring we maintain full compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligations across 2 RTOs with a national focus (40890 and 45497), including those set by ASQA, the Standards for RTOs 2025, and state-based funding bodies. This role combines hands-on compliance work with leadership responsibilities, undertaking internal audits, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will manage staff, conduct audits, develop policies and procedures, and maintain accurate student records using aXcelerate. Key Accountabilities Regulatory Compliance and Policy & Process Management - Ensure ongoing compliance with regulating and funding bodies -Conduct and lead regular internal audits, managing audit response plans and prepare for external audits and reviews - Maintain and update the organisation’s scope of registration - Develop, review, and implement policies, procedures, and quality assurance documentation - Ensure all training and assessment strategies (TAS) are compliant, up to date and reflective of practises - Coordinate validation and moderation activities - Identify and mitigate compliance risks
Systems & Data Integrity - Manage student records and reporting through aXcelerate - Ensure accurate AVETMISS data collection and submission - Monitor and report on compliance KPIs and improvement plans
Leadership & Staff Management - Supervise and mentor compliance and administrative staff - Provide training and support to other staff on compliance matters - Contribute to the Management Team and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
Requirements for the Role - Minimum 3 years’ experience in RTO compliance
- Strong knowledge of ASQA, The 2025 Standards and state funding regulations
- Experience with aXcelerate
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proven leadership and staff management experience
