About the Centre

 

Caboolture Pool and Fitness Centre is a vibrant community hub located north of Brisbane. The facility features a fully equipped gym with a diverse range of cardio and strength equipment, an extensive group fitness timetable, an outdoor 50m pool, a heated program/learn-to-swim pool, and a fun splash pool complete with water play features for kids.

 

The Opportunity

 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Centre Manager to lead our passionate team and deliver an exceptional customer experience. In this role, you will be accountable for all operational, financial and program outcomes, while fostering strong relationships with staff, the community, and our local Council partners.

You will work closely with the Centre’s leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans, drive performance, and ensure the ongoing success of this valued community facility.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all visitors and employees through effective implementation of policies, procedures, and risk management strategies.

  • Lead, coach and develop leaders to achieve KPIs via regular engagement, performance planning and tailored development plans.

  • Build a high-performance, community-focused culture through visible, hands-on leadership.

  • Achieve budgeted financial and operational targets.

  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with local Council.

  • Deliver a high-value customer service experience aligned to community needs.

  • Recruit, train and develop a passionate and diverse team that reflects the Centre’s values and goals.

  • Support staff growth with clear career pathways and succession planning.

  • Maintain facilities to the required standards in line with contract and operational requirements.

About You

 

You are an inspiring and energetic leader who thrives in a community environment. You bring experience in shaping high-performing teams, driving engagement, and translating strategy into strong business results. You understand the connection between great employee culture and exceptional customer outcomes.

 

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing a leisure, fitness, or aquatic facility

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively

  • Solid understanding of WHS legislation

  • Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering operational, financial and workforce plans

  • Current CPR Certificate

  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)

  • National Police Check

  • Legal working rights in Australia

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field

  • Experience in running functions or events
