Brunswick Baths is a vibrant, community-focused aquatic, fitness, and community facility in the heart of Merri-bek. About You: You have experience in planning and execution of operational, financial and people plans to achieve successful outcomes. You need strong professional and people skills being able to communicate and encourage many people of diverse backgrounds. Ideally you will have at least 2 years’ experience in managing a similar leisure or aquatic facility, with full commercial and financial accountability. Together, in strong collaboration, Belgravia and Merri-bek City Council manages the keystone community venue Brunswick Baths. We cater to the health and leisure needs of the entire community, ensuring that everyone becomes happier and healthier. About the Role: An opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering the highest level of customer service to manage Merri-bek's Brunswick Baths located in Brunswick. This is an exciting time for Belgravia Leisure as we look to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Venue Manager to build and lead a passionate and engaged team to manage our newest community facility. As the Venue Manager you will be fully accountable for the facility’s operations, financial performance and program deliverables. You will deliver and drive exceptional customer service and a culture of innovation. The facility will be known for its access and inclusion with programs aligned to delivering the community health and wellbeing outcomes. The Venue Manager will be a strong people leader who will be responsible for recruiting, developing and leading a skilful and passionate team. You will develop and execute plans through engagement with your leadership team, key stakeholders and Council. With strong business acumen and experience in sales, financial and risk management, you will continue to drive the overall success of the centre. Key Accountabilities: - Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of visitors and employees through effective planning and oversight of policies, processes and procedures.
- Coaching and developing leaders to deliver KPIs through strong engagement, performance planning and individual development plans.
- Leading a high-performance, community-minded culture through visible, hands-on leadership and team engagement.
- Achieving budget performance, program delivery and diversity targets.
- Building and maintaining a high-value relationship with our council partner.
- Implementing a customer service proposition that meets the needs of a diverse client base while driving a positive experience.
- Recruiting, training and developing a diverse and passionate team, including identifying talent, supporting capability uplift and creating clear career progression and succession pathways, while ensuring facilities are maintained to approved standards in line with contract requirements.
