Wulanda Rec & Convention Centre are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Guest Experience Manager to build and lead a passionate and engaged customer focused team.

The Role:

As the Guest Experience Manager you will be a strong people leader who will oversee large high-profile, multi-day events, the venue’s kiosk, and child-minding operations. You will be responsible for the recruitment, ongoing training and development of all Guest Experience staff to deliver and drive exceptional customer service and a culture of innovation. 

You will develop and execute plans through engagement with the leadership team and key stakeholders. With strong business acumen, experience in people leadership and event coordination, you will continue to drive the overall experience of our guests.

About You:

You are a capable or emerging people leader with experience in leisure, aquatic, or event-driven environments. As Guest Experience Manager, you lead from the front, being approachable, adaptable, and willing to roll up your sleeves to lead from the front when needed. You thrive in dynamic, fast moving environments where you can shape team culture, and deliver memorable experiences for the Limestone Coast community.

You understand how great experiences are built. Fostering engaged staff, strong safety standards, and consistent operational execution. You’re eager to grow your leadership skills and take ownership of an important community facility.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead and develop a high-performing Guest Experience team, including recruitment, training, and ongoing capability building to deliver exceptional customer service
• Oversee the delivery of large, high-profile, multi-day events, ensuring seamless coordination and outstanding guest outcomes
• Manage daily operations across key service areas, including the kiosk and child-minding facilities, maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency
• Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, enhancing the overall guest experience and community engagement in aquatic and leisure activities
• Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders to develop and execute strategic plans that improve participation, performance, and business outcomes.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Police Check & Working with Children Check
• CPR & First Aid Certificate (Current)
• Events management or business qualification, or 2 years' relevant experience
