Do you have a passion for basketball and enjoy inspiring players to achieve their potential?

We're looking for an enthusiastic Basketball Coach to deliver engaging basketball programs for both junior and senior participants while helping grow our thriving basketball community.

 

Whether you're an experienced coach or looking to further develop your coaching career, this is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact through sport.

 

As a Basketball Coach, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality coaching programs that develop players' skills, confidence and love of the game. You'll work closely with the Stadium Coordinator to ensure programs are engaging, safe and professionally delivered.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

Skills & Attributes:

  • Coaching junior and senior basketball programs
  • Planning and delivering training sessions, matches and competitions
  • Supporting player development at all skill levels
  • Assisting with player recruitment and program growth
  • Promoting basketball programs through community engagement and social media
  • Maintaining equipment and ensuring a safe playing environment
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to players and families
  • Contributing to attendance and participation targets.

You are an energetic and positive coach who enjoys working with people and helping others succeed.

 

You'll bring:

  • Knowledge of basketball and a genuine passion for the sport
  • Experience coaching or playing basketball
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, enthusiastic and reliable approach
  • The ability to motivate and develop players of all ages and abilities
  • A commitment to creating a fun, inclusive and welcoming environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Competition/Club Coach Qualification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Working with Children Check (or equivalent)
  • National Police Check
