The Role

 

The Aquatic Duty Manager's primary responsibility is to oversee the safety, evacuation and operation of the entire centre in the absence of the Centre Manager and to direct day to day activities of the café, aquatics, health club, sports programmes, private hires, events and customer service staff. This will be a part time position, with a look to go to a full time position for the right candidate.


Key accountabilities

  • Complete all daily operational and asset checklist and additional tasks as set by the Operations Manager/Centre Manager
  • Maintain compliance with all safe work methods and risk management procedures by routinely checking all areas of the facility
  • Maintain operations within legislative guidelines
  • Provide leadership and direction to all staff on duty

 

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of work health and safety legislative guidelines, evacuation and emergency procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience of plant room management and Pool operations is essential 
  • Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
  • Current First Aid (Level 2)
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • National Police Check
  • Working with Children's certificate
  • Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
  • Current Pool Operations Certificate 
  • Swim Instructor certificate
