Lead a diverse portfolio of leisure and community facilities across Northern New South Wales and help shape exceptional recreation experiences for local, regional communities.

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded and people-focused leader to join our team as Area Manager – Northern NSW.

Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of leisure and recreation facilities across Northern New South Wales. Through strong leadership and team development, you will support Venue Managers and their teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences, strong financial performance and contract outcomes across each facility.

Working closely with operational leaders and stakeholders, you will develop and execute strategic and operational plans that ensure consistent service delivery, community engagement and sustainable business growth throughout the region.

About You:

You are a proven leader with experience in multi-site management, business growth, financial performance and people leadership.

You understand how to balance commercial outcomes with community expectations and have a demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams, foster positive workplace culture and develop strong relationships with councils, community groups and key stakeholders.

With a strategic mindset and a passion for operational excellence, you thrive in dynamic environments where you can influence performance, drive engagement and support the development of future leaders.

Key Skills:

• Proven experience managing multi-site operations
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience developing and executing strategic, operational and financial plans
• Demonstrated success leading complex business operations, preferably within leisure, aquatic, tourism, fitness, retail or hospitality sectors
• Stakeholder management skills, influencing and negotiation skills
• Sound understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and risk management practices
• Values-based leadership style that promotes engagement, accountability and continuous improvement

About the Qualifications:

• National Police Check*
• Working with Children Check*
