Lead, coach and support five seasonal aquatic venues across South Australia

Are you an experienced leisure or aquatic leader looking for a rewarding short-term leadership opportunity?

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Area Manager to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, providing leadership, support and coaching to Venue Managers across five seasonal swimming pools.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a genuine impact across a regional portfolio, supporting Venue Managers to deliver safe, high-quality operations, exceptional customer experiences and strong business outcomes throughout the seasonal period.

The Role

As Area Manager, you will provide hands-on leadership, guidance and coaching to Venue Managers across:

• Balaklava Swimming Pool
• Owen Swimming Pool
• Hamley Bridge Swimming Pool
• Burra Swimming Pool
• Eudunda Swimming Pool

You will work closely with Venue Managers to ensure consistent operational standards, support their development and help each venue achieve its customer, operational and business objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Providing leadership, coaching and support to five Venue Managers
• Supporting Venue Managers to achieve operational KPIs and business goals
• Driving consistent standards of customer service and operational delivery
• Developing and supporting staff through coaching and training
• Building strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
• Identifying and addressing performance gaps and opportunities for improvement
• Supporting business growth, sales and profitability across the region
• Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant legislation
• Promoting a positive, inclusive and high-performing team culture
• Using performance data and insights to drive continuous improvement

About You

You are a confident and capable leader who enjoys developing people and creating successful teams. You may come from an aquatic, leisure, recreation, fitness, hospitality or similar multi-site service environment and will be comfortable supporting managers across multiple locations.

You will bring:

• Demonstrated experience leading, developing and managing teams
• Strong coaching and people leadership skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Business planning and development experience
• An understanding of budgets and financial performance
• The ability to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement
• A strong customer service focus
• The ability to build positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
• A passion for developing people and creating great customer experiences
• A willingness to travel between the five seasonal venues as required

Essential Qualifications

• Current First Aid Certificate – Level 2
• Current CPR Certificate
• Working with Children Check or equivalent
• National Police Check
