We are seeking an experienced and passionate Community Engagement Coordinator to lead community engagement initiatives across our Western Australian portfolio, helping create meaningful opportunities for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.

This is a unique opportunity to work with community organisations, local governments, service providers and internal teams to drive participation, inclusion and positive social outcomes.

 

The Role

 

The Community Engagement Coordinator will build strong community partnerships and implement initiatives that improve access to leisure, recreation and wellbeing opportunities across multiple venues.

 

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Lead community engagement activities across multiple council contracts and venues.

  • Build relationships with community organisations, local governments and support agencies.

  • Attend stakeholder meetings and represent Belgravia Leisure within the community.

  • Create opportunities for underrepresented communities to participate in programs and services.

  • Support inclusive employment initiatives and workforce pathways.

  • Coordinate community forums, events and networking opportunities.

  • Deliver reporting and insights on community participation and inclusion outcomes.

  • Support teams to create welcoming, inclusive and accessible environments.

  •   Facilitate training and provide guidance on inclusion and community engagement practices.

About You
You are passionate about community development and thrive on building meaningful partnerships that create positive outcomes.

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience working with diverse communities and supporting community participation initiatives.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
    Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience facilitating workshops, training or community programs.
  • The ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • A passion for health, wellbeing, recreation and community outcomes.
  • High levels of professionalism, confidentiality and cultural awareness.

Essential Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Current CPR Certificate.
  • Working With Children Check.
  • National Police Check.
