An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated Sales & Guest Experience Coordinator to join our Mornington Peninsula team.

Reporting directly to the Venue Manager, you will play a key leadership role in driving membership growth, leading a high-performing Guest Experience team and delivering exceptional customer experiences. A major focus of this position will be leading the pre-sales campaign for our new Gym & Wellness Centre opening soon, building excitement within the community and achieving ambitious membership targets ahead of launch.

The Role

The Sales & Guest Experience Coordinator is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Guest Experience team while driving membership sales, retention, customer engagement and local marketing initiatives.

Working closely with the Venue Manager, you will develop and execute sales strategies, coach and motivate staff to achieve KPIs, oversee customer service standards and ensure a seamless guest journey from enquiry through to membership and ongoing retention.

This is a hands-on leadership position that combines sales, customer experience and people leadership, making it ideal for someone who thrives on achieving results while building strong relationships with members, guests and the local community.

Key Accountabilities

Sales & Business Growth

• Lead the pre-sales campaign for the new Gym & Wellness Centre opening soon.
• Drive membership growth, retention and revenue targets.
• Generate, nurture and convert membership leads.
• Coordinate local marketing activities, community outreach and promotional campaigns.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve and exceed targets.
• Promote memberships, programs, personal training and wellness services

Team Leadership & Operations

• Coordinate staff rosters and daily operational requirements.
• Manage Café sales & stock
• Deliver training, coaching and ongoing development for team members.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and operational standards.
• Oversee cash handling and Point of Sale (POS) processes.
• Support the achievement of venue KPIs and business objectives.

About You

You are a natural people leader with a passion for sales and customer experience

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Proven sales and customer service leadership experience (fitness, leisure or wellness industry experience highly regarded but not essential).
• Strong track record of achieving membership or sales targets.
• Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
• Passion for health, fitness, wellness and community recreation.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Highly motivated, proactive and results-driven.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and leading from the front.

Essential Requirements

• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain).
• National Police Check (or ability to obtain).
• Availability to work a flexible roster, including evenings and weekends when required.
