This is a great opportunity for qualified Operations Coordinator who value water safety and love working with people, to provide leadership and coaching to our team.

About the Role

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and friendly individual to join the team as the Operations Coordinator at Yawa Aquatic Centre.

The Aquatic Operations Coordinator is responsible for leading aquatic operations and safety across the facility while maintaining a high level of compliance in relation to aquatic supervision, pool water chemistry and the implementation of processes, expectations and guidelines to ensure the continued operational efficiency and the safety of staff and visitors to the facility.

This leadership role requires a role model that can keep cool under pressure. You should be planned, detail oriented and confident. You will need outstanding communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence to ensure our patrons safely enjoy their visit every time. Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with patrons that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures and needs.

Skills & attributues:

• Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
• Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends
• Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
• National Police Check
• Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate
• Current Pool Operations Certificate is desirable
• Previous experience and success in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded!

About You

You will have a passion for aquatic operations and delivering safe environment to both staff and patrons. You will have the ability to create and maintain all relevant documentation in relation to safety and hazard minimisation.

You have strong communication skills that build rapport and positive relationships with people and a commitment to operational excellence. Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to interact effectively and build positive relationships with all operational staff and contractors.

To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Aquatic Operations environment and demonstrated ability to lead a team. You possess values such as integrity, excellence, courage, openness, respect leadership and accountability.

About Yawa Aquatic Centre

The Mornington Peninsula Shire Council awarded Belgravia Leisure as the management company of their aquatic & recreation facility located in Rosebud. 

Yawa Aquatic Centre includes a number of facilities that has benefited many of the local community including 50m indoor pool, warm water program pool, four group fitness rooms for health and fitness classes, gym, wellness centre, café, family change rooms, all with a high level of regard to disability access. Thus, ensuring that Belgravia Leisure continues its purpose and mission of “connecting community to leisure” and in turn providing every member of the community the opportunity to take advantage of this incredible facility.
